Open main.js and search for "certificate-error". Type asar e app.asar app to extract the "app.asar" file into app Navigate from the root client folder to Bin\Electron\resources

Now you are ready to modify the Twitch client.

Instructionsįirst run npm i -g asar to install globally the necessary ASAR extraction and packing tools. To fix this, we need to allow all certificates to run from within the client. This is because, by default, Electron blocks the self-signed localhost certificate. You will not be able to develop BTD using the default Twitch Desktop client. This starts a server on which, with some modifications of the desktop client, you can directly inject into the page (by replacing the URL in the injector.js script with the location of the compiled JS file on localhost) Modification of the Twitch Desktop client (allowing "developer-mode") Apart from that, there aren't any dependencies that aren't included in the node package. The codebase requires you to install Node. You will need to paste this script into the client whenever you open a new instance of the Twitch Desktop window I will develop a better solution in later releases! Technical Details There might be certain problematic emotes perhaps? But an fps toggle option should definitely fix the issue and people can just do what works for them and maybe save some battery in certain cases.D.getElementsByTagName('head').appendChild(script) So if you could just fix it without changing fps cool, would it be all app fps toggle or just emote menu fps toggle idk probably app wide toggle would be better because a super active chat may overheat also. Some ideas I had if maybe you could create a fps toggle for emotes (default, 60fps, 30fps, 15fps, 7fps) and more specifically it’s just the emote menu that mainly overheats my phone, usually just watching chat will be fine. If you could just fix the overheating issue then 10 stars. Its pretty fucking good and makes your Twitch chat experience the same as it is on PC, without.

Love the overlay, love being able to change the theme color, love being able to hold emotes and get its name / larger view / and origin, love how easy it is to copy messages by quickly just holding the message or empty space, nice layout, and best privacy practices of any app in existence.ĥ star+ potential but 1 big thing my phone is overheating scrolling through channel emote menu (iPhone 13 pro) and battery takes a hit. Hey bajs, just wanted to share this amazing Twitch app mod (Android only) made by a fellow KKomrade 'n0pbreak' from that adds BTTV/FFZ support with gif emotes (probably drains battery faster) and shows deleted messages as crossed out. Nevertheless this app is a really good way to view Twitch chat on mobile. For example if I added Zoil chat first and I stop watching him for a while, his chat will appear first thing I open the app and if you want to change the order you need to delete chats off the app so chats that you're more active in can appear first. And a feature that I would like to see is to change the order of the chats that you added onto the app.

Another bug that could be harmful is that every once in a while the chat can start flashing which could possibly cause someone to have a seizure. There are a few bugs that have been pretty annoying, one bug that happens from time to time is that the animated emotes begin to slow down when a chat is moving fast and to fix that bug, you need to fully close the app.

Finally with Chatsen, I can see third party emotes 💿 on my IPhone and is a fantastic app, but with that being said there are a few issues that I have with the app. I've been a mobile frog ever since I satrted watching Twitch so I never been able to see FFZ, Bttv and 7tv emotes on my IPhone. Fantastic alternative for viewing Twitch chat
